Olympic Invasion

The Olympics are knocking at our door in just a few days, and I’m feeling a bit strange about the whole thing.  In the past I have watched the games without even a thought of what goes on in the cities that host them.  It’s different this time around.. there is no hiding from them if you live in the lower mainland, especially downtown.  We feel the impact it has on our City on so many different levels, both good and bad, just depends on your opinion of the whole thing.  I’m not going to voice my opinion here… rather I would like to share with you these images that I have taken over the past 2 months – the change in the cityscape  - it’s how I see it….

I intentionally photographed most of these images with long exposure to “remove” people from the scenes (exept a few workers)- opposite of what the actual Games will have…lots and lots of people.

This Friday, Opening Ceremony day I will be heading downtown again, this time to photograph the people that are celebrating or not!

Farmboy Fine Arts

I have been with Farmboy Fine Arts now since May of 2007 and this month I am their featured artist! I’m super stoked of course especially since they just selected close to 200 images from my trips to Iceland, see a little sample below.

When I go home, unfortunately I don’t spend as much time as I would like out in nature shooting,.. it is my dream to go there and spend the whole summer traveling the ring road and shoot from daylight to sunset, which incidentally is close to 24 hours!

Have a look, and if you don’t know who Farmboy Fine Arts are all the more reason to visit their site.

I have also just added an Iceland Gallery to my personal website
